Support and Save: Orkin’s 2021 Donating Blood Should Be Voluntary™ Campaign

83 /

As part of the second annual “Donating Blood Should be Voluntary” campaign, Orkin will once again aim to help save lives on two fronts — aid the American Red Cross in maintaining our country’s blood supply and protect people against the public health threats of mosquitoes.

Orkin is continuing its partnership with the Red Cross because as an organization we have the ability to make a difference, and this campaign allows us to give back to communities across the country.

During this period, the Red Cross continues to test all routine blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies. The Red Cross is also screening all blood, platelet and plasma donations from self-identified African American donors for the sickle cell trait. This additional screening will provide donors of African descent with an additional health insight and help the Red Cross identify compatible blood types more quickly to help patients with sickle cell disease.

We hope you’ll join us in our efforts to make a difference. Pledge to donate blood today and share your experience on social media with #OrkinSleevesUp!
