In this time of national emergency, there is an urgent need for blood. Thousands of blood drives have been cancelled due to COVID-19 and social distancing practices. Currently, there is more blood being sent out than is being donated. People who have been in car accidents, have cancer, or need transfusions are desperately in need of blood. One way we can help as a community is to give blood to those in need. Giving blood is perfectly safe and sanitary as well. The American Red Cross has taken special precautions to protect donors.
Let’s come together as a community and be a light in this time of uncertainty. Giving blood is a simple, safe way to give back to our community and country, and show who we are as a SWCHS community.
