On October 8th, 2017 my beautiful, perfect baby girl was born. Very shortly after she was taken to the nursery to be cleaned up I started to not feel well. After a short visit to the ICU (about 5 minutes) they rushed me in for emergency surgery only to find a major arterial bleed. I had lost 2/3 of my blood internally and needed 7 bags of donor blood to save my life! It was the best and scariest day of mine and my families life. I wouldn’t be here today, raising my daughter if it weren’t for the kindness of those strangers who took the time to donate blood! I am unable to donate blood for 1 year because of the transfusions I received, but will be doing so as soon as and as often as I can! Please please please donate blood if you are healthy enough too! It can and will save a life!
