One blood donation can help save up to three lives. That means a lot to patients in need, but it took on a new meaning recently. Our ten-year-old friend, Emmet, has been fighting Aplastic Anemia which has required blood and platelet transfusions as well as two bone marrow transplants. Children like Emmet and so many adults need our help. Lisa, Emmet’s mom, made us aware of a national shortage of blood and platelet donations and inspired us with her own donation despite Emmet being in the ICU. If Lisa can make time to donate, so can we!
