As a nurse, Nancy absolutely understood the importance of this selfless gift. Several times throughout her cancer treatment Nancy needed platelets and blood. With every unit she received, I was so grateful to a stranger who sat in a YMCA gym or office lobby for a half hour squeezing a stress ball. Giving of themselves so that my Mom get stronger. Please help me honor my dear Mom on my birthday and help those in need celebrate more birthdays too.
