David was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease in 2013 and had a stem cell transplant in 2014. In 2017 he was diagnosed with Large Diffuse B Cell lymphoma followed by a bone marrow transplant in 2018. In both cases the generosity of blood donors throughout his chemotherapy and transplants kept him alive.
