Terry’s Angels

The start to a perfect day ♥

In November 2014 Terry Delaney (my Dad)  was diagnosed with MDS, a bone marrow disorder.  Treatment for this disease was unsuccessful and on Jan 12th (yep) 2017 he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Lukemia.  Battling this disease has made him blood and platelet transfusion dependent.

Through this battle I have learned there is a HUGE shortage of blood and platelets.  I’m starting this blood drive to not only replenish the gift my Dad has been given by donors but to also help someone else’s family.  Paying it forward is always a good idea no matter what you do.

Blood can be donated every 8 weeks.  Platelets every 2 weeks, but only have a shelf life of 5 days. Power red (double red) can only be donated every 4 months.

This blood drive will run with my local blood drive on June 7th. If you wish to help, click the link, find a drive in your area and register using the name Terry’s Angels, get creative post a pic of you donating and share with your friends using #terrysangels. We’re all in this fight together.
