Support Riley Lestrud Kicking Cancer
3 /100

WHAT: Virtual Blood Drive
WHEN: Whenever you have a little time to spare
COST: Nothing
WHY: Because anyone battling cancer will, at some point, need a blood transfusion and/or platelets

I have set up a “SleevesUp” campaign through the American Red Cross as a way to support Riley Lestrud and others currently fighting cancer. This campaign only requires a few minutes of your time for a blood donation or 2-3 hours for a platelet donation. All you have to do is contact the Red Cross and schedule either a blood or platelet donation and log it on the campaign that I will set up. Unfortunately there is no guarantee that our blood/platelets will go directly to Riley as they will be sent where the need is greatest, but you WILL be helping someone in need.

Please share this link and invite anyone you know to donate!

Please help support Riley Lestrud and family in his ongoing battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). On February 10, 2020, Riley relapsed after nearly a year in remission. Now he is receiving treatment, including chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Riley was able to receive trial chemotherapy drugs that are less harmful to his heart, but insurance will not cover it.

His mother, JoDee, will care for him during the months he is at Children’s and not able to work, and father, Shane, will be commuting. The Lestruds including Riley’s twin brother, Parker, live in Green Bay.

Riley was first diagnosed in September 2018 and spent more than 150 days in the hospital during his initial treatments.
