On Nicole’s birthday we are teaming up with the Red Cross & Happily Ever After (HEA) Animal Shelter to sponsor a blood drive in her honor. Nicole received many blood and platelet transfusions during her 8 year battle with Aplastic Anemia (rare blood disorder) These transfusions helped her live her life as normal as possible. Although she needed a bone marrow transplant we had never found a suitable match on the bone marrow registry and she earned her angel wings on May 9, 2019 at the age of 30.
For this reason, if you are willing, and are between the age of 18-44 you can sign up to be on the national bone marrow registry as all it takes is a cheek swab to be able to save someone like Nicole.
