On Tuesday, July 21, 2020, Chief Paul Ferm -South Pymatuning Township, (Mercer County) PA, Deputy Chief Joel Ristvey -Hermitage, (Mercer County) PA, and Barbara Hawkins (Co- Director) presented to Mary Rogers, Executive Director of the American Red Cross of Northwest PA, a donation in honor of all the fallen officers from COVID-19. This special project was dubbed “Cuff COVID-19” with the hopes of spreading awareness for not only the law enforcement community but that of a country facing an epidemic. Ristvey spearheaded the campaign by starting a fundraiser to pay tribute to those law enforcement officers. At the onset of the campaign, over 26 law enforcement officers across the country had lost their life to COVID-19. As of today, those numbers have nearly tripled with two of those deaths occurring in Pennsylvania.
It has been our honor to help make a difference. Thank you, Team Cuff COVID-19

“A Police Officer’s Prayer” Lord, I ask for courage ~ Courage to face and conquer my own fears… Courage to take me where others will not go… I ask strength ~ Strength of body to protect others, and strength of spirit to lead others… I ask for dedication ~ Dedication to my job, to do it well, Dedication to my community, to keep it safe… Give me, Lord, concern for those who trust me, and compassion for those who need me… And please, Lord, through it all, be at my side…

“I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.” ― William Penn
