June 2nd 2019 - Kevin spent 12 days in the ICU, receiving multiple blood transfusions

By now most of you know, or are at least somewhat aware of everything Kevin has been going through over the last few months. From being diagnosed with late-stage Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma to enduring countless nearly fatal complications, saying that Kev has been through the ringer is the understatement of the century.
What a lot of you don’t know, is how much donated blood Kevin received in order to survive while these complications were ensuing. Kevin had 85 “units” of blood infused over the course of a 60 hour time frame. For reference, the body of an average adult has 8-12 pints of blood and one pint of blood is roughly equivalent to one “unit” of blood. Kevin had his entire body’s worth of blood replaced with donors’ blood more than two times.

None of this would have been possible without YOU, blood donors. So, in an effort to say thank you to those who literally saved Kevin’s life, please consider donating blood via this blood drive. A single pint of your blood can save THREE lives.

I understand that it’s easy to overlook certain things until you or a loved one is directly affected by them, but now that this has all become so real to me, I can’t help but feel like I need to do something about it.
