“Why donate blood?” This was the question I was asking myself after hearing about a blood drive. The thought of pricking yourself with a needle and literally giving up a part of yourself doesn’t sound very pleasant for most people. Then, I was introduced to the extreme benefits of donating blood. Blood donations save lives and will benefit you in the future. Because I am from a family with a history of blood-related illnesses, this campaign is near and dear to my heart. I want to give back and have more people become blood donors, ultimately bringing more recognition to donating blood.
