Almost a year ago our 13 month old got RSV which led to complications including strep pneumonia, collapsed lung, scarlet fever, and empyemas. He was intubated and in a ventilator in a medically induced coma. He had a chest tube draining fluid from his lung. He had many IVs and a PICC line. He also required a life saving blood transfusion when his blood counts were too low. Please consider donating blood! It saved his life and I am forever grateful for the person who took the time to donate for him. Thank you!
