The American Red Cross Club at the U of U has partnered with the Blood Club & Red Cross Club at BYU for our first annual Battle of the Blood.
This is our competition blood drive to see which institution and their fans have the biggest school spirit and can collect the most pints of blood.
We decided to do this not only to see which school had the most lifesavers but all to help alleviate the blood shortage our country is currently facing due to the tragic events of last year.
The American Red Cross generates 40% of the countries blood supply and with disasters both natural and man-made, such as hurricanes or the Las Vegas Shooting, there is a desperate need to refill that supply for those who need it.
So we thank you for helping us beat our rival, but most importantly, we thank you for helping us save lives.
